The sessions are an opportunity to ask questions, share expertise and support each other in the
first stages of school leadership.
This training is open to all new primary headteachers.
The purpose of the Emmaus Network is to ensure that deputy headteachers are well-equipped
to support headteachers in leading schools to be centres of excellence. Meetings will take place
half-termly and there will be opportunities for professional development, spiritual reflection

|School culture: Sustaining and enriching ethos and strategic direction. Effective governance
|Organisational management: Ensuring efficiency in the use of public funds
|Organisational management: Identifying, managing and mitigating risk
|Organisational management: Ensuring effective deployment and management of staff with
regard to workload
These will be an opportunity for staff to share good practice, agree common values and ideas about teaching in key subject areas.
These cover National Curriculum subjects and also include early years, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ethos, safeguarding and governance. The groups will be overseen by leaders from our schools. Individual group leads set the relevant dates for these sessions.
Primary colleagues may access the trust working groups via their headteacher, who will direct them to the appropriate working group.
